On Tuesday 15th May 2001, at 1.30am,
our son Jamie Sean Plant was born in Holles Street Hospital. I
was mighty relieved! He weighed in at 4.1 kgs and gave a great
big scream to say hello to the world. Part 2 of our life had now
begun (The Fun Years.....).
July 2003
Jamie is now over 2yrs old and is doing really well. He's
running around the place climbing up the back of our sofa
and asking us what we are doing all the time. So we just ask
him back, what is he doing! His speech has come on in leaps
and bounds, he's nearly counting to twenty (skipping out 13
to 16!) and knows all his colours and animals. I guess he's
learning a lot of new things by asking us what they are, so
it's good development rather than frustrating questions.
They won't take him in the playschool till he's two and
three quarters, so that'll be next February, and then he'll
start Montessori in August next year. Being around the house
a lot more, I've seen him grow up and we've enjoyed much
better family life these days.
July 2002
Jamie is now nearly a year old! The time has really shot
by, we just can't believe it. He is such a spirited little
boy and has vast interest in everything, rather like the
cat, without the 9 lives though! He eats like a pig and
is just dying to stand up, he keeps grabbing our legs and
pulling himself halfway up! He's doing a great line on da
da and ba ba these days and is working his way through all
the so fa li etc. sounds. Walking and talking, that's the
next stage. We're off to France in May so, you never know,
he might just take his first steps abroad. I think we'll
just have to celebrate with a round of vino maybe :-)))
I've just put a few new pics up on his mugs gallery taken
in March 2002.
Our lives are completely absorbed by him and it has been an
amazing experience. Generally he's a pretty good sleeper giving
us 7 hours a night. He's a real talker and crooner, sometimes
reaching those high notes when he's really hungry.
